The best Chinese food I had in a very long time. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and shrimp lo mein. The food tasted the way it use to when I was a teen. They give you a good amount of shrimp.

Just finished my Songapore Noodles & Egg Rolls. I've never had a problem eating here and my family has been coming here for over 30 years. The Shrimp are healthy and fat and I've eaten in and had carryout. It's small but very clean. They arnt good with English so maybe this is the reason ppl think they are rude. No issues and I'm Spanish and my family has accents too.

The first and last time I went to this spot it was for carryout/dine in.....The food was just ok but the customer service is HORRIBLE. I am so tired of these places doing business in predominantly African American neighborhoods but insist on treating us like we are beneath them. The lady behind the bullet proof window who takes the order was extremely rude to the person in front of me. When it was my turn I contemplated turning away but I was starving and waiting to get my nails done up the street. Anyway, no hello, she just said "what you want?"....I give her my order, I PAY and I wait. Since I have some time I decided to just sit inside. When I asked for a table she told me I paid for takeout and would not seat me. After some back and forth she let me sit down. The waitress comes over and I tell her I decided to eat in but I ordered a sprite with my order so I will just take that. She said it does not work that way and if I want to sit down, I need to order at the least something to drink...Huh? so I say fine, give me a water....anyway, my food comes and I had to ask for silverware in which she pretty much threw at me. Mind you, the place was completely empty.....I sucked it up and finished my lunch. I get up to leave and the waitress and rude lady ask where their tip was???? Sad thing is, I would have left one but I was so pissed that I told them to basically go to hell in gasoline underwear. I know, not the right attitude to have in these situations but these people need to understand that you can't treat customers (no matter what ethnicity) any kind of way and think it is just ok. Will not go back and when my friends asked about this spot, I tell them to not patronize this business because they clearly don't respect us.

I have been going to this restaurant for so long that I am a regular. The cashier knows my order when I walk through the door! I started going there when my children and I went to the laundromat next door. It was a treat every other Friday for us. I have never had bad tasting food, it's always fresh. I am a fan of their fried rice. No other restaurant can prepare it like they can. I am no longer in the area but I will drive all the way to Mainland to get Chinese food even now.

This is my favorite Chinese food spot to go to in the capital/district heights/forestville area. I always order shrimp egg foo young and it's always good. The prices are affordable and you get a good portion. The only downfall is this place doesn't have delivery.

This Place is quite Good. The food is so very fresh and cooked very well. I NEVER feel guilty for eating here. Also Lisa the Lady at the front desk is great... She is very familiar with ALL her regulars... her mind is like a steal TRAP!! :) Her humor is very deadpan and some may find it offputting. But I think she is great. She knows what we want to order every time we come in EVEN if we haven't been in a while. This place is certifiably AWESOME. Check them out.

This spot is a hidden jewel. We ordered carryout for the family on a Friday night. The food is fantastic and fresh. The only thing that is a deficit is the lady at the counter, who was a little rude the the person in front of use.

I never eat inside and I usually get the shrimp and brocoli with white sauce to go. The shrimp are big and usually cleaned up pretty good. The shrimp fried rice is also good.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
